NEW SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
Saint Columba School is very excited to announce we have hired a new Principal! We are so very blessed to welcome Mary Lenzini Howe to our school family. Mrs. Howe will be joining us this summer. Mary Lenzini Howe is a St. Columba parishioner since 1957 and a St. Columba School Alumna. She will be retiring from a 10 year position as Bloomsburg University’s Director of the Zeigler Institute for Professional Development (ZIPD) Program in the Zeigler College of Business. Ms. Howe earned an MS in Human Resource Management from Villanova University and a BFA in Theater from NYU. She is also credentialed as a Senior Professional in Human Resources [SPHR], SHRM-Certified Senior Professional [SHRM CSP], and Job and Career Development/Transition Coach [JCD/TC]. Her career has traversed several business industries in leadership positions including VPHR and Marketing for Bloomsburg Health System; Mayor and council member of the Town of Bloomsburg; proprietor of La Groceria Italian Deli; and professional vocalist.
She has served on numerous boards in our local community, and at state and national levels, currently serving (as past president) for the Susquehanna Human Resource Management Association [SHRMA], board member for the Columbia Montour Area Agency on Aging, advisory board member for the PA Perinatal Quality Initiative, Career Ready Central PA Leadership Team, and the St. Columba Parish Finance Committee. Mary serves in several St. Columba ministries including Cantor, Lector, and Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion. She has also served in the RCIA, Cursillo, and True Colors programs. Each morning she wakes grateful to live life to the fullest by learning as much as possible, setting a good example, and using her God-given gifts to benefit others.
