Proposed Calendar and Tentative Plan for 2024-2025
Director: Sister Suzanne
Youth Group Christmas events: On Friday, December 13, 6:00 -8:00 pm, Maria Joseph Continuing Care Community at 1707 Montour Blvd. in Danville is hosting a Live Nativity in front of the building with live animals. You can drive through or come and watch the scene. Hot chocolate will be served and caroling will ensue throughout. This is a family treat. On Sunday, December 15, at 2:00 pm, at Emmanuel Nursing Center, 11Schoolhouse Rd. Danville, featuring The Christmas Carole with the St. Columba Youth Group (Gr. 6 through 12) and the Kids Peace Club (Kdgn. through Gr. 5) who will sing carols entertaining the residents and offering some solo instrumentalists. After the first show, parents are then asked to drive their daughter/son to Maria Hall at 1 Maria Hall Drive, Danville, a short distance away for another performance for the Sisters at their Maria Hall Theater, offering them a repeat of the Christmas Carole at 2:45 followed by cookies and punch with the Sisters in their community room/dining room. Carpooling is encouraged, too. RSVP to Sr. Suzanne by Dec. 12 if your child and you will attend. We want parents to enjoy the festivities and the refreshments bringing joy to our residents at Emmanuel and the Sisters at Maria Hall. What a joy to teach our children the spirit of giving with their gift of song. The residents of both places will be exultant!! Counting on you to make this happen. Advent blessings, Sister Suzanne
