Scouts

Develop a love of service by volunteering in your community, boost your leadership skills through fun and exciting challenges, and create memories of a lifetime with no prior Scouting experience required! The goal of Scouting America is to train youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs, and, at older age levels, career-oriented programs in partnership with community organizations. For younger members, the Scout method is part of the program to instill typical Scouting values such as trustworthiness, good citizenship, and outdoors skills, through a variety of activities such as camping, aquatics, and hiking. For over 100 years, our program has helped create generations of leaders and outstanding citizens by allowing boys and girls to explore their interests, serve their communities, and discover their talents through youth-led activities like hiking, camping, and volunteering!

We are invested in community service, and every June 14 (Flag Day) we are involved in the Flag Retirement Ceremonies at the town park.

We thank our Scout parents, leaders and volunteers, especially Troop Leader Ed Dilg and Council Commissioner Rose Rhoads

Please contact Ed Dilg or Vicki Parker for information on how to join the Lime Ridge Scouting Program.
