Parents,
Your child/children from Kdgn. through Gr. 5 are invited to Kids Peace Club this Friday, Mar. 7 from 5:00 to 7:00pm in the Peace Room. I will be showing two stories on empathy on the big screen, engage in an art activity that will accentuate empathy, serve pizza, chips, cheese curls, cookies and a drink followed by games. It will be two hours of feeling for others and learning to walk in another’s shoes!
Please RSVP by Thursday, Mar. 6 so I can prepare well. The children are growing in leaps and bounds each month as they learn to encounter children of different ages and work side by side with them enjoying the marvel of each person.
The adult volunteers, Bonita Anderson, Betty Hylanski and Ron Drumm are invaluable in being models of the values we want to incur in our children with the Gospel of Jesus as its central.
Blessings,
Sister Suzanne

Einstein said,” If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.” I, for one, believe fairytales spark imagination, help children develop a broader understanding of the world and its possibilities, which can lead to more creative and innovative thinking. Fairytales are not only for children but for all of us. Therefore I invite both groups to:
