Youth Activities Programs

Proposed Calendar and Tentative Plan for 2026
Director: Sister Suzanne

Dear Parents,

Congratulations for another year of school completed with your child/children.  With the sound of school bells fading in the distance and summer fun and work in the foreground I want you to know my plans for July.  Since I have three events in July planned, June will be a month without the marvel of a gathering.  Vacations sometimes take precedence as I hope they would.

Sat. July 11 Our SSCM Summer Festival in Danville on our St. Cyril’s property. Flyer attached.

Nun Run Walk/Run 8:30

Children’s games from 11:00 to 2:00. I need volunteers for the Duck Pond, Klinko, Wishing Well, Toss Bean bags for Books, Corn Hole Toss for Kids and Watermelon Giveaway.

Sun. July 19 Graduation party for Erin Bombard and Derek Brink at Hunter’s Dairy Freez from 3:30 to 5:00. Fun, games and food.

Sun. July 26, the Christmas in July  Tea at St. Columa’s from 12:30 to 3:00.  We need volunteers serving and the leftovers are for the helpers!

If you already know that your child wants and can participate in any or all of the above, please let me know.

Blessings,

Sister Suzanne

The Kids Peace Club has been blessed this year with the Youth Group joining them in being their guides and leaders.  I have new opportunities for both groups as they band together in the spirit of community.

Einstein said,” If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”  I, for one, believe fairytales spark imagination, help children develop a broader understanding of the world and its possibilities, which can lead to more creative and innovative thinking. Fairytales are not only for children but for all of us. Therefore I invite both groups to:
