Youth Activities Programs

Proposed Calendar and Tentative Plan for 2026
Director: Sister Suzanne

 Parents,

This Friday, Apr. 10 will be a special experience for our children!  We will start with the story, Drawing God by Karen Kiefer on the big screen. This inspiring book helps children and their parents begin to understand the beauty and mystery of God, through artful words and expressive art as we draw God differently. Through a visit to a museum and through Picasso’s help, Emma learns to use her faith imagination.

We will follow up with our own art activity by “drawing God” and appreciating each other’s rendition. With time for playing games with partners before and after supper of chicken fingers, chips, snacks, cookies and drinks we will infuse the value of growing in our relationships with each other.

My signature puppet, Lily Rose, will make an appearance for this momentous art and faith experience!

Please RSVP by Thurs. Apr. 9 so I can plan for our children.  Betty Hynlanski, Bonita Anderson and Ron Drumm will be on hand, as adult volunteers to add to the marvel and safety of our children. A $5.00 fee covers the cost of the food, if you are able.

Easter blessings,

Sister Suzanne

Einstein said,” If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”  I, for one, believe fairytales spark imagination, help children develop a broader understanding of the world and its possibilities, which can lead to more creative and innovative thinking. Fairytales are not only for children but for all of us. Therefore I invite both groups to:
