LifeTeen

For students in grades 7 – 12: LifeTeen strengthens our teens’ Catholic identity while rooting them firmly in Christ and in His Church. Life Teen is open to all high schoolers. We usually meet from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the LifeTeen room in the St. Columba parish center. Enter through the library in the rear by the school playground.

We provide a safe environment once a week to talk, laugh, play games, and most importantly, learn how to deepen our faith which is so vital to each of us personally and to our communities. This year, Life Teen is not only open to high schoolers, we invite all 8th graders as well.
I will be sending that out in an email and a text every week as a reminder. If you think I do not have your email address or phone number, call or text me at 570-441-3459 and give it to me so that I can include you in my Life Teen groups.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me, Karen Konkolics, at kekonkolics@gmail.com or call me at 570-441-3459

DONATIONS APPRECIATED
If you would like to help with snack donations, we could use snacks of any kind. It is best to donate snacks that are individually wrapped so that they are always fresh. Soda and water is something we use every week. The teens also LOVE freshly baked items. We also make great use of gift cards: Giant, Weis, or Walmart. Life Teen provides pizza and snacks for the teens every week, so if you can help in any way it would be greatly appreciated. It is best to drop or mail your donation to the Church office. Or you can contact Karen Konkolics at 570-441-3459 to make other arrangements. Thank you so very much.

Can you help send two of our own to World Youth Day?

Leah and Hannah Konkolics are going to World Youth Day Portugal in the summer of 2023, and they are looking for fans of cookies and chocolate-covered pretzel rods to help them get there. They are selling a variety of pretzel rod flavors (M&M, Crunchy Toffee, Sprinkles, Salted Carmel) for only $1 each.

But there’s more. They are also selling tubs of delicious cookie dough For $18 a 2.7 lbs. tub, you can make 40 Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, Sugar, and Snickerdoodle or keep them frozen for up to one year until ready for us. For $20 a tub, you will have dough ready to make 40 M&M and White Chocolate Macadamia cookies.

Mary arose and went with haste” (Lk 1:39) is the scriptural quote chosen by Pope Francis as the motto of the XXVIII World Youth Day that will be held for the first time in the capital city of Lisbon, Portugal.

The girls need to place your orders by November 28 to have them to you by Christmas.

To order, send an email to kekonkolics@gmail.com with your name, address, and phone number along with your order. Payment is at the time of delivery.

Please consider helping these girls. Click Here to learn more about World Youth Day Portugal.
